Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based approach that can be used to help clients identify the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

We will start by learning how to identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, then learn more adaptive ways of responding to stressful situations. Learning to challenge unhelpful thoughts, developing problem-solving skills, and practicing techniques between sessions are all important parts of this treatment.

  • CBT can be used to help patients living with a wide rage of conditions. Most often it is used to treat:

    • Depression

    • Anxiety

    • Substance abuse

    • Insomnia

    • Eating disorders

    • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

    • Personality disorders
